Student leadership is vital to the health and growth of the band program at Olympus High School. Some positions are elected by the student body, and others are awarded by the band director through an application process. The student leader and assistant director for the Titan Band.
Duties include conducting the band, communicating with band via groupme, memorizing all music, setting up for and cleaning up after all pep band related events, being a group leader for the band, leading sectionals, creating dance moves for the songs, meeting regularly with the director for planning and preparation, and setting the tone and culture of the Titan Band.
Drum majors are selected after an application and audition process.

The student leader for each section of instruments. Each ensemble has separate section leaders. Section leaders help manage their section, run sectional rehearsals, teach younger players, and be an example to the younger classmen.

The student representative for the band program and liason for the students. They assist with the growth of the band program as a whole, lead meetings, guides the other leadership, assist in running warm ups and sectional rehearsals, helps make decisions about the program, and has big school spirit. The Band President must be a senior in Wind Ensemble or Advanced Percussion.
The Band President is selected by the director after completing the application. Students are selected based on their application, their past dedication to the band program, their musicianship, prior demonstrations of positive attidude, leadership, and resiliance.

Students, selected by application, who help manage the Band Instagram account, take pictures at events, and document the band program's history. Historians also help plan and manage events, like band socials. There can be two to four historians at a time.

The Symphonic Band president is selected by the Band Director after an application process and represents the Symphonic Band Students in leadership meetings. They will help establish the culture of symphonic band, encourage students in symphonic band to grow and learn, boost morale, help run sectionals, and assist in managing concerts and performances. They represent the Symphonic Band students at all leadership meetings and assist the director in all symphonic-band related things throughout the school year.

The Percussion Ensemble representative is selected by the Band Director after an application process and represents the Percussion Ensemble Students in leadership meetings. They will help establish the culture of the percussion ensemble, communicate with members and boost morale, help run sectionals, encourage people to join percussion ensemble, and assist in managing the percussion performances and music.

The Jazz Band representative is selected by the Band Director after an application process and represents the Jazz Band Students in leadership meetings. They will help establish and maintain the culture of the jazz program, encourage people to be in jazz band, communicate regularly with the members of jazz band and jazz lab, and help manage/organize the jazz band concerts and music library.

The Band Secretary will take notes during leadership meetings, follow up on tasks given to individuals, help plan events, help set the tone of the band program, and be a direct assistant to the Band President and the Band Director (Ms Black). The secretary must be in Wind Ensemble or an upper classman from Advanced Percussion Ensemble.

The librarian will assist in copying music, passing out/collecting music, organizing the music library, and managing solo book check outs. Each class will have their own librarians.

Assistant Secretaries are at-large leadership members. Their tasks range from helping to set up and coordinate events, make decisions in conjuction with the head secretary and band president, assist librarians when needed, help organize, clean, fix, and maintain the band room, and are assistants to the band director. These are the get-it-done kind of students who can show up early to events to help set up, help manage the chaos of Titan Band events, come up with ideas that will benefit the whole band program, and generally be good members of the band program in all aspects.
