Concert Black, meaning, professional/formal clothes that are all black. Options include:

• Black button-down shirt paired with black dress pants/slacks and black dress shoes

• Black dress paired with black tights and nice black shoes

• Black formal shirt paired with black slacks and nice black shoes

• Black formal shirt paired with black skirt, black tights, and nice black shoes

In a concert setting, jeans, tennis shoes, sweats, yoga pants, and graphic t-shirts are NOT acceptable. 

There is a select number of instruments for rent at OHS. The rental fee is $75 for the school year and an additional $25 for the summer. Students must talk to the band director to rent an instrument, fill out an instrument rental form, and pay the fee to the bookeeping office before the student is able to take the instrument home. 

If students do not want to rent an instrument from OHS, or if there are no instruments available, students can rent instruments from music stores here in Utah, including Summerhays Music, Riverton Music, or Burt Murdock music. 

Students are encouraged to purchase their own instrument. For recommendations, please talk to the band director or see the instrument maintenance tab for a list of recommended brands.
