Glow at the Gardens
Denver Botanic Gardens
These skeleton walls came to us from an outside company, who were hired to create the frame and vaccuform skeletons into the surface. They were completely black, and it was hard to tell where the skeletons were within the catacombs. My coworker and I were tasked with fixing them up with a few good layers of scenic paint.
We started with sanding off extra foam left by the other company, then defining the background with a light scumble of a few brown/tan colors and white to the skeletons as a highlight. We covered the whole thing in a wash to blend them a bit into the background. The frame was painted with a simple drybrush woodgrain effect.
