When I graduated from college in June 2024, I knew that I wanted to decorate my cap. I have always loved the Muppets and their messages of love, community, and acceptance of all so I decided to base it on Rainbow Connection.
First, I found and printed the photo of Kermit in his graduation gown. I arranged the white foam letters and sewed lace around the edge. It took me awhile to paint the paper flowers/leaves and choose how to place them. I ended up using hot glue to adhere them. Then I glued the photo of Kermit onto a blue piece of cardstock and cut around it to give him a background. To make it pop, I decided to paint the "AND ME!" in a rainbow. It was totally worth the effort, and everyone loved it on graduation day!
