Client Position: Prone on table, hip and knee in full extension
Axis: Palpate and place at the lateral aspect of the epicondyle of the femur
Goniometer Stationary arm: Parallel to the midline of the femur
Goniometer Moveable arm: Parallel to the lateral aspect of the fibula
Instruct Client: "Bend your knee as far as you can go."
Client bends their knee, practitioner keeps the stable arm along the midline of the femur, and the moveable arm follows the lateral aspect of the fibula.
Norm: 0-135°
Assess AROM and then PROM
