The purpose of this chapter is to establish clear guidelines and procedures for handling disciplinary actions and addressing infractions within the San Andreas State Police (SASP). These policies ensure accountability, fairness, and the maintenance of professionalism within the department.
All officers are expected to adhere to the SASP Code of Conduct at all times. Violations will be categorized into three levels based on severity:
Minor infractions are considered non-severe but still impact the integrity and efficiency of the department.Â
Consequences:
First Offense: Verbal warning.
Second Offense: Written warning.
Third Offense: Command discretion.
Moderate infractions involve repeated violations or more serious misconduct. Examples include:
Unauthorized use of police vehicles or equipment.
Negligence in handling evidence or case files.
Excessive or inappropriate use of force.
Consequences:
First Offense: Verbal warning.
Second Offense: Written warning.
Third Offense: Command discretion.
Severe infractions constitute gross misconduct, corruption, or violations of server rules and legal procedures. Examples include:
Abuse of power (corruption, unlawful arrests, or harassment).
Engaging in illegal activities on or off duty.
Intentional tampering with evidence or case obfuscation.
Consequences:
Command discretion.
All disciplinary actions and investigations will be logged.
Only authorized command members may access these records.
Repeated offenses will be considered in future disciplinary decisions.
