Використання порівняльних конструкцій as... as і not as... as
Конструкція as … as перекладається на українську мову «такий же…як, так само…як». Ми використовуємо її, коли говоримо, що два предмета/людини схожі в чому-небудь.
Ця конструкція використовується при порівнянні і може показувати:
1. Що хтось/щось володіє такими ж якостями.
Наприклад: Її кімната така ж велика, як і моя.
Так як ми говоримо, що щось, хтось є таким же, то найчастіше такі пропозиції будуються з допомогою дієслова to be (am, are, is, was, were, will be).
Схема такої пропозиції буде наступною:
Предмет/людина + дієслово to be + as + якість + as + другий предмет/людина
She is as beautiful as her sister.
Вона така ж красива, як і її сестра.
2. Дія відбувається таким же чином
Наприклад: Він бігає так само швидко, як ти.
Також ми можемо сказати, що робимо щось, точно так само, як робить це інша людина. У цьому випадку наша конструкція ставиться після дії. Дія може стояти в будь-якому часі.
Схема такої пропозиції:
Дійова особа + дія + as + ознака + as + другий чоловік/предмет
He swims as fast as his father.
Він плаває так само швидко, як і його тато.
Конструкція not as … as перекладається на українську мову «не такий … як, не так … ». Ми використовуємо її, коли говоримо, що один предмет/людина поступається в чомусь іншому предмету/людині.
My car is not as expensive as this one. He sleeps not as long as his sister.
Моя машина не така дорога, як ця. Він спить не так довго, як його сестра.

Today you will learn about the Present Simple Passive Voice.
Your task for today is:
1) Перегляньте уважно відео про пасивний стан взагалі та правила утворення різних часових форм у пасивному стані.
2)SB p.16 перегляньте та опрацюйте табличку(Grammar Lab);
3) Запишіть правило в зошит:
В англійській мові вживаються два граматичні стани: активний (дійсний) стан та пасивний стан.
Активний стан (Active Voice) - це граматична категорія, яка вказує, що дія в реченні (присудок) виконується підметом.
His parents love him. – Батьки його люблять.
Пасивний стан (Passive Voice) – це граматична категорія, яка вказує, що підмет (хто? що?) не виконує самостійно дію, зазначену в реченні, а відчуває цю дію на собі, тобто є об'єктом цієї дії. Той (те), над ким (чим) виконується дія, називається passive subject (пасивний суб'єкт, пасивний підмет).
He is loved by his parents. – Він любимий батьками. (дослівно)
Використання Passive Voice
Відсутність виконавця дії або коли дія важливіша за її виконавця.
Passive Voice використовується, якщо виконавець дії неважливий для змісту речення, невідомий або очевидний з контексту.
The tea is grown in India. – Чай вирощують в Індії. (Нам не важливо, хто саме вирощує чай)
Якщо необхідно вказати на того, хто саме виконує дію, то використовується непрямий додаток з прийменником by.
I am punished by my teacher. – Я покараний своїм вчителем.
