Scholarship Info

For Long-Term Program Applicants (CLD/ICLP):

1. The awarded student shall receive a monthly scholarship of NT$28,000 (approx. US $900). For attendance shorter than a full month, the amount will be calculated at NT$933 per day.

2. Students must read and adhere to the scholarship guidelines.

3. Students will be awarded the scholarship for the total length of their attendance in the program at ICLP or CLD. For example, if students enroll in more than one quarter, then they will be eligible to receive scholarship for the entire duration. 

4. Students will need to open a banking account in Taiwan. The scholarship will be directly deposited into that account monthly given the attendance requirement is met.

5. The scholarship will be suspended for one month if a student has missed 20% or more of their classes (including excused absences) within a single month. 

6. Students are required to activate the overseas withdrawal feature for the ATM card to ensure that they can retrieve any remaining scholarship after leaving Taiwan. 

7. During the program, NTU reserves the right to take photographs of students for the purposes of promoting the program on the official website and other social media platforms. Photographs will not be used for commercial purposes.

For Short-Term Program Applicants (NTU Plus Academy):

1. The awarded student shall receive a monthly scholarship of NT$28,000 (approx. US $900). For attendance shorter than a full month, the amount will be calculated at NT$933 per day.
   *A minimum attendance of one full month is required to be eligible for the scholarship. 

2. The awarded student shall physically arrive in Taiwan and check in with the BEST program team before receiving the scholarship.

3. If you do not attend at least 15 hours of Chinese classes per week, you will not be able to receive the scholarship.

*Eligibility for the scholarship requires participation in a  program with a minimum duration of four weeks.
