Special Collection
The 20th International Annual Conference of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language took place at the National Taiwan University on December 17-19. The International College was a co-organizer of the conference; faculty and scholars of the Mandarin Chinese language education discipline had attended to share their research and expertise. The Taiwan Huayu BEST Program was also highlighted by many guest speakers during the opening ceremony as a momentous initiative that pushes the field forward. The presentations and workshops featured in the conference were diverse in topics and targeted audience, and involved some of our partnering faculty members through the Taiwan Huayu BEST Program at NTU. For instance, Professor Li-Chia Liu from Harvard University gave the Plenary Speech focused on “Data-informed Language Pedagogy: Adaptive Curriculum and Instruction”.
