Through the Huayu BEST Program partnership, NTU nominates and sends Mandarin language educators to our partner institutions to provide support for Mandarin language programs. There are two types of positions available; one is a full-time lecturer position and the other is a graduate assistant internship. The partner institutions decide their needs and capacity for hosting, then jointly select lecturer and/or graduate assistant with NTU.
Currently, we have three NTU Mandarin language lecturers and two graduate interns being hosted at our partner institutions. Their work strengthens and complements the respective Mandarin language programs. Conversely, the opportunity to be a part of Mandarin language programs overseas broadens their understanding of various needs and challenges of global learners of Chinese.
