Andrew had a dominant year, going undefeated in the regular season. Only dropping a game in the semifinals. His pitching and defense was crazy, only giving up 5 runs all season. Andrew breezed through 8 seed Keith, then beat Garrett in 3, then defeated Jacob to claim the throne. Home Stadium - Yoshi Park (Night)
Jacob only played 4 regular season games due to missing Week 3. He most likely would've had a higher seed had he played these games due to these games being against weaker teams. Jacob took down 2 seed Carston, then swept 6 seed Will, then fell to Andrew. Home Stadium - DK Jungle (Day)
Garrett had a solid regular season, slipping into the 5 seed. He avenged a Week 3 loss to Wilson in round 1, then became the first person to defeat Andrew, but then lost the next two games to put his season to an end. Home Stadium - Yoshi Park (Day)
Will, known for his epic win against his brother in 2019, came into this season with good expectations. However a below average regular season gave him the 6 seed. He beat 3 seed Joe in round 1, then was swept by Jacob in round 2. Home Stadium - Bowser Jr. Playroom
Carston started the season off strong with a walkoff victory against Jacob. He rode this momentum to secure the 2nd seed for the playoffs. However, Jacob, who was underseeded due to missing games, defeated Carston in round 1. Home Stadium - Mario Stadium (Night)
Joe, with very high expectations, played good during the regular season. He would take the 3 seed. However, he could not fight off the season sweep from Will, who would take him in the regular season and playoffs. Home Stadium - Peach Ice Garden (Night)
Wilson played well in this first Sluggers season. Him and Keith came in with virtually no experience, but it didn't show for Wilson. He would go .500 and take the 4 seed. He fell to Garrett, whom he had just beat in week 3, in the playoffs. Home Stadium - DK Jungle (Night)
Keith, as well as Wilson, had no past playing experience with Sluggers prior to the league. His lone win in the regular season came against Wilson, who tried out Nunchuk. He would be eliminated in the first round by the champion Andrew. Home Stadium - Wario City (Day)
Week 1
Week 1 was quite the week. NSL (not yet NSL at the time) had officially started. Keith almost had the biggest upset of all time over Andrew. Two games of Sluggers in the same room was unfamiliar and loved by everyone there. Garrett missed out because he had joined the league about 30 minutes before the start (see History page for more details).
