The Mario Sluggers Fanclub hosted the first ever Mario Sluggers Online Tournament in the Summer of 2023. Two NSL members took part, Andrew and Joe. Joe had a good showing tying for 7th out of 32. Andrew won the tournament and has shown the world how good our league is. For more info on the Mario Sluggers Fanclub, their discord is in the Mario Sluggers website linked on the Home page. Full results from the tournament can be found right below.
The Mario Sluggers Fanclub hosted the second ever Mario Sluggers Online Tournament in the Summer of 2024. Four NSL members participated, Andrew, Joe, Jacob, and Will. Will decided to leave the tournament after a couple rounds and finished 30th out of 44. Jacob finished 17th. Joe finished 5th and Andrew finished 3rd. Once again, Andrew defeated Joe in their matchup.
Once again, the Mario Sluggers Fanclub hosted an online tournament. Similar to 2023, Joe and Andrew were the only two from the league to play. Andrew performed remarkably after not playing in the 2025 NSL Season. He finished in 2nd place. Joe fell in the third round to HFB, then forfeited due to a lack of interest among other reasons. He finished 13th.

After the conclusion of the 2023 Online Tournament, a rise in competitive Sluggers play led to creation of the ranked Sluggers system. Players gained and loss ELO ratings with every match played. The system was run by SwirlingCoffee, a member of the online community. Joe was the only NSL player to play in the ranked games. ELO slowly died out over time, as well as SwirlingCoffee exiting the scene. Actively, Logan from the All Star League is trying to revive the competitive scene with various events and making a ranked bot.
Very many mods have started coming out for Mario Sluggers on Dolphin Emulator. Some of these have been in NSL videos (item rain, custom stadiums, stat editor...). A link to the stat editor is below. Mods were formally listed on the mariosluggers.com website from the Mario Sluggers Fanclub. However, this website has been taken down. Below, there is a Google Drive with all the mods.
Starting in 2023, after each week, Joe, Andrew, and Jacob, would come together to talk about how the league is going, poll rankings, possible rule changes, game predictions, reviewing the draft, looking at the bracket, etc. Each episode is paired along with a song from Mario Sluggers in the background to give it the Sluggers feel. Below is Episode 1, along with the link for the whole playlist from last year. The Sluggers Show continued into 2024, having 3 episodes (including the Rules Meeting). After the Week 1 episode, the show was discontinued. Poll rankings continued to come out, being posted on our Instagram. The 2024 playlist is also below. The episodes are now unlisted on YouTube and can only be found in the Playlists section of our channel.
Hype videos, more funny than hype, are what makes our league one of kind. One of things people look forward to each year is to watch the funny videos at the beginning of the season. However not related, but not needing its own section, another main part of NSL is our National Anthem performance at the start of the season and before the playoffs. Linked below are some hype videos.
