By placing text on to of each other we can make some interesting design. The example above is on the more extreme end. It's more common to stack like the example below
Not only can we warp our text to make it fit a space, but if we add and extra shape it can take on a whole new form!
The space between the letter can have a BIG TIME effects on how the letters relate to each other. When the are further away form each other each letter is on it own. But move them closer then you can start to have fun with how they might work with each other. (Check out where the dot for the i is in Pies)
This is when kearning goes to far and starts to overlap. This is when you can place letter in front or behind. You can have quite a bit of fun with this. Check out the 'O', it's like it is playing the role of linking the "H and P"
Text doesn't have to be flat and boring, you can add texture to like the example above. Some extra pointing lines and a dab of colour and PRESTO texture the enhances the word.
By stacking and using extra shapes, the text and taken on a whole new form and makes the shape of the text make even more sense!
