The Yak Bak is an electronic, handheld voice recorder released by YES! Entertainment in 1994. The Yak Bak can record up to six seconds of sound. The recording can be replayed any number of times; however, only one recording can be saved at a time.
Subsequent Yak Bak releases would include the Yak Bak 2, Yak Bak Classic, Yak Bak SFX, Yak Bak Power Penz, and Ms. Yak, amongst others.

The Yak Bak 2 was identical to the original Yak Bak with a couple of exceptions. One change was the WarpR feature, which changed the pitch of the recording.
Another addition to the Yak Bak 2 was a lock button. This ensured that the recording wouldn't be accidentally taped over.
The Ms. Yak was similar to the Yak Bak SFX in that it also has 6 sound effects and looks almost identical.
