The Talk Boy is a handheld voice recorder released by Tiger Electronics in 1992.
It was made famous by Kevin McAllister in the 1992 movie, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. The Talkboy was commissioned exclusively for use in the movie but consumers wanted to have their own version, so the Talkboy was commercially produced and sold in time for the 1992 holiday season.
In 1993, Tiger Electronics released the Deluxe Talkboy that featured a variable-speed voice changer. In 1995, Tiger Electronics released a pink version called the Talkgirl.
