Romania Mobility
In the period October 14th-17 th 2019 the activities of the mobility within Erasmus+ project were hosted by “Elena Doamna” Food Industry College in Galati, Romania.
14th of October after the opening ceremony of the proceedings each partner school in the project presented the video recordings focused on how they integrate their students with special needs in class activities so that they may develop their knowledge and skills at the same time with the rest of the students.
The presentation was followed by discussions based on what had been presented focusing on various aspects, noticing things that the partners, in turn, may apply in their teaching activities. This session was followed by a tour of the host school facilities as well as a tour of Galati city in order for them to get to know the city and its history, improving their knowledge and understanding of their partners in this project.
On the second day of the meeting, all the participating students were involved in creative activities such as mandala painting, painting stones, sewing traditional motifs that may help teachers focus their students attention and develop their skills.
During this, the teachers had an organizational meeting talking about the previous mobility and its outcomes, the programme of the current one and the measure in which the objectives of the project were met.
Afterwards, the whole group visited “Simion Mehedinti” Special School where there were organized workshops, focused also on how creative activities may focus the attention of special needs students. The programme of the day concluded with a cruise on the Danube.
Third day, the participating students were integrated in the activity “cooking together” which unfolded in the school’s gastronomy laboratory. The students prepared traditional Romanian food, among which cookies, decorating them according to their imagination-the entire activity was designed to make them collaborate and talk among each other, to practice manual skills (working with different utensils) to feel part of a mini community. It created a sense of comradery among them, having fun together while learning something useful for life.
This was fallowed by a session of sports activities-basically, games played in groups meant to develop their physical abilities like eye-hand coordination, team work, fair play. In the meantime, the teachers had a meeting in which they set the exact dates of the fallowing two mobilities and discussed what type of activities every partner will be expected to prepare for them. There was organised an exhibition with the crafts the students made during the activities of the project and then certification of the participation to mobility were handed out to each of them.
October 17th, there was organised a cultural trip to Sinaia to visit the Peleş Castle, one of the most represantative landmarks of Romania and other places, continuing onwards to Bucharest.
