Staff Recommendations:
An HDLC Certificate of Appropriateness was issued for the replacement of roof shingles and reinstallation of the existing English-V ridge tiles on March 3, 2023. The applicant is requesting to not reinstall the ridge tiles per the issued CofA. Ridge tiles are an important architectural feature of roofs and should be maintained, per the Guidelines. As such, Staff recommends denial of the application, but due to lack of visibility, Staff recommends that the ridge tiles only need to be reinstalled at the front hip of the roof.Â
Recommendation: Denial.
