Description: Changes to previously approved renovation of the Landmark, three-story, multi-family building and construction of an adjoining three-story multi-family addition.

Previous Commission & ARC Motions:

05/16/23: The ARC recommended conceptual approval with the details to be worked out at the staff level. The ARC suggested that the windows in the hyphen piece be the full width of the massing and that at least two of the windows should be operable, with SHPO approval.

08/03/22: The Commission voted to grant conceptual approval with the details to be worked out at the staff level.  

07/19/22: The ARC recommended conceptual approval with the details to be worked out at the staff level.

07/06/22: The Commission voted to grant conceptual approval of the massing with the details to be worked out at ARC level. 

06/14/22: The ARC voted to conceptually approve the massing with the details to be reviewed at the ARC. The ARC recommended the following:

• Windows in the residential units should be operable and suggested varying the windows with the bedrooms having a single window and the living spaces having two.

• A larger arrival point at the rear of access door and suggested using a canopy.

• Lighting should be integral to the design and recommended lighting along the sidewalk.
