Invitation to join the Research & Development Forum Wider Care Settings Group 

We are inviting research active professionals working in community care, public health, social care, care homes, or hospices to join the Research & Development Forum (RDF) Wider Care Settings (WCS) Group. Our aim is to embed research across all care sectors, not just within the NHS.

Led by Dr Edyta McCallum (Public Health, Kent County Council), the WCS Research Group meets quarterly to:

• Share expertise and develop best practices tailored to non-NHS research settings

• Tackle challenges such as ethical governance, capacity building, and infrastructure gaps

• Advocate for policy change and greater recognition of research in wider care settings

• Collaborate with professionals across diverse care environments

Whether you are a researcher, practitioner, policymaker, or advocate, your insight matters. Help us lead the way toward a more inclusive, evidence-based future in health and care.
