Our public and community partnerships (PCP) advisory board is the main way we involve lived experience and public and community voices in our work.
The board responsibilities are to:
Help to ensure that PCP is integral to SCPH within its governance activities and culture.
Be part of SCPH decision making in important areas such as funding allocations, funding award decisions, and recruitment.
Help to shape our PCP strategic and action plan priorities and advise on demonstrating the impact of PCP work.
Be part of PCP conversations within our partner organisations and local authorities across England.
Enable and support PCP in public research projects for example, advice on the design of research projects, involvement in plain English summaries and reviewing the PPI sections of applications.
Our Board includes public contributors from across all 9 English regions.

To ensure we involve public and community voices in all decision making, we have also created two public co-chair roles. The co-chairs are selected from the PCP Advisory Board and attend senior our decision-making meetings. This includes attendance at our Annual Advisory Board and quarterly Executive Boards.
