Evaluation subgroup meetings are informal spaces for those involved with evaluating HDRCs, to share learning, ask questions, trouble shoot problems about all matters of evaluation of HDRCs. Meetings are usually held on the last Wednesday of the month 12-1pm on MS Teams.

The HDRC Organisational Development Group is working together to look at organisational culture changes. Meetings are arranged via Doodle poll.

The group meets monthly to share best practice, problem solve and discuss experiences.
The meetings are practical, supportive, and informative and discuss live topics and issues that people are facing.

The Training and Skills subgroup aims to provide an informal space for HDRCs to share their learning, challenges, and opportunities around building research capacity and capability through research-related training and skills development for staff or residents in their areas.
HDRCs in any phase/stage of their journey are encouraged to attend and facilitate.
The subgroup meets monthly on Tuesdays from 2-3pm.

The Community Engagement subgroup brings together colleagues who lead or support community engagement or public involvement activities within their respective HDRCs.

The knowledge mobilisation group meets quarterly, and has identified three potential areas of focus for future conversations:
Hearing about experience within the network (e.g. in setting priorities, specific methods / approaches, tackling specific issues).
Building a shared understanding of what knowledge mobilisation in a Local Govt context is / isn’t, and some of the concept/theories/evidence around this.
Spotting opportunities for collaboration on specific topics.

The research subgroup is a place for HDRCs to:
share research and evaluation findings for projects led or involving local authorities (rather than external research ON local authorities).
Discuss LA-appropriate methods.
Identify potential partners/sites for comparative research and/or external bids.
The group meets on the first Tuesday of the month from 9-10am. You can add/remove yourself to the group email list directly on the national HDRC sharepoint.
The NIHR HDRC National Data Subgroup is a collaborative initiative that meets every eight weeks to develop data practices within local authorities. These meetings offer an open, informal space for anyone interested in data to share HDRC data experiences and best practices.
The group has developed specific project subgroups, such as housing data, and rotates its chair across multiple HDRCs to foster collaboration and innovation.
Anyone interested in how HDRCs can make an impact with data is welcome to attend, regardless of their job title.
