2023 Third International Symposium of Contemporary Music Research
"Contemporary Music, Present and Future"
The Department of Ethnomusicology, Nanhua University will hold this international symposium from April to June 2023. Firstly, sincere thanks to everyone who applied, and congratulations to all the successful applicants! We are honoured to have your participation in this symposium of new works and contemporary music research. The symposium consists of three parts:
Keynote Address in Mandarin by Pan Hwang-Long (Saturday April 29th)
Symposium, featuring selected musicological papers, the Yannis Kyriakides' Keynote Address in English (Saturday May 27th)
Two Composer Forums, featuring presentations from the composers of the selected works (June 2 and 9)
We shall also be organising video/audio recordings of those of the selected works which remain currently unrecorded.

This year we had applications for twelve papers and seventeen compositions, from which we selected eight papers and four compositions for inclusion.
