「有舞必有歌,有歌必有舞。」 這是一首以臺灣原住民阿美族歌舞中的姿態作為主題的變奏曲。 樂曲採用了阿美族歌謠「賞月舞」中的音高與節奏來表現族人歌舞中的舞蹈與融合所聽到傳統樂器的聲響。主題與變奏分別屬於阿美族歌舞中不同的樣貌,這些小標題亦是代表族人充滿毅力與耐力的精神象徵。 Theme 口簧琴 Var. 1 月光引吭(ti'eciw) Var. 2 耆老的歌聲 Var. 3 播種祭 Var. 4 賞月舞曲。
“As song as dance, and vice versa.” The work is a Theme and Variations which is inspired by an indigenous folk song from Amis, Dancing in the moonlight. The Variations which present the people’s dancing gesture while singing. The sound of the Theme is inspired by the traditional instrument Mouth Harp of Amis, and the pitches and rhythm of the framework are from this folk song. After dancing in the moonlight is a fantasy folk music, it is also regarded as the symbol of hardworking and persevering spirit in Amis’s character. Four Variations are the following meaning: Theme Mouth Harp(Jew' s harp) Var. 1 Coryphée with the Moon Var. 2 The Voice of Amis Old People Var. 3 The Rite of Millet Var. 4 Dancing in the Moonlight
