EXPANDING IN THE CEE REGION

We are both excited and proud to share that a new Repair & Service Centre has been opened in the Czech Republic to serve the CEE regions. Joined by colleagues to celebrate this achievement, President, Anthony Pickering was there to officially open the centre, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

What’s the benefit and purpose of expanding?

To provide service to partners across the CEE region, providing faster repairs.

What does this mean?

No additional transportation will be required to the UK and back, something that usually takes 4-5 weeks. The Service Centre also has the potential to provide service for other Drive Centres if needed. Ensuring customers are being provided with the services of highly experienced, local engineers no matter where they are. This is the company’s commitment to providing quality service.

What an exciting next step in Control Techniques expansion!

We would like to give a special mention and thanks to MELCSA for the ¨calavera¨ 💀🏵️

(Day of the death rhyme)

Following a many years old tradition, our partner MELCSA shared a Linked In post which contains a comedic rhyme related to products by Control Techniques, this funny verses knows as “Calaveras” (Spanish word for “skulls”) are very common on the mexican celebration of Day of the Death (November 2nd); and usually make fun of a person’s personality or traits while describing how “La Muerte” (Death itself) comes to gather the soul of the character in the calavera.

Congratulations to MELCSA´s marketing team for this great advertisement.

Control Techniques Monterrey Plant tour with partner ADICOM AUTOMATION.

Proper sizing is a crucial aspect of motor selection. If a motor is undersized, it will not be able to control the load, leading to overshoot and ringing.

Over-sizing a system is as bad as under-sizing – it may control the load but it will also be larger and heavier, as well as more expensive in terms of price and cost of operations. It may not physically fit and it certainly will cost more. It will use up more valuable space in a control cabinet or on the shop floor.

ALWAYS IN MOTION

This next story was sent in by Paolo Trabacchin, Global Applications Director.

A few years ago Paolo and others started a project called “Engineering Community”.

The goals were:

• To create connections between engineers around the world to:

• Share their knowledge and experience about applications

• Use their experience to help engineers in the Drive Centres to develop and troubleshoot their applications

• Identify opportunities to convert their Local Solutions to Global Solutions

Due to the pandemic things have been very slow, and last year they had their first face-to-face meeting in the UK.

In their first meeting of this year, they focused on the specific topic “Motion”.

Global Applications and Business Development teams recently collaborated to explore the latest advancements in motion solutions. It was an excellent opportunity to share knowledge and create better customer solutions.

This was an opportunity to share the knowledge and experience of the Engineering and Sales Teams, and to help grow our business within this sector.

We’re excited to have such an enthusiastic and creative group working together to make waves in motion development.
