Nagamori receives the Kyoto Prefecture Distinguished Service Award
The Kyoto Prefecture Distinguished Service Award was established to commemorate the 155th anniversary of the opening of Kyoto Prefecture and to honor individuals who have contributed to the development of the prefecture over the years. Shigenobu Nagamori, founder and Chairman (CEO) of Nidec Corporation, was selected for "his many years of dedication to the development of Japan's manufacturing industry, as well as his significant contributions to the development of Kyoto Prefecture in various fields, including the promotion of education and culture, and his significant contributions to the welfare of the citizens of Kyoto Prefecture. The award was presented at a commemorative ceremony on June 19.
With great pleasure, we announce Anthony (Tony) Pickering the president of Control Techniques who joined the company in 2017, will now assume the leadership of Motion and Control Nidec’s group.
