This timeline serves as a recommended guide to help ensure that key information is shared consistently across all 21 meetings held each week. Feel free to modify the timeline as needed to best support the meeting format. While the timing and content help meetings run smoothly and inclusively, the posting timeline is flexible - but, the content of the script itself is not.
Please make every effort to follow the prompts and suggested timing. Doing so helps our group stay aligned with our group conscience and helps better ensure we carry the message with consistency in our 21 meetings.
When prompted by the script, complete the tasks below as indicated:
→ Post items in RED TEXT into the meeting room chat
→ Change chat controls to close and re-open main & private chats
→ Mute the room, disable and re-enable unmuting surround speakers or readings
→ Share images/literature on your screen (aka screen sharing)
0. Before the meeting starts:
→ Request Co-Host Privileges
Upon arrival, please ask the meeting Host to make you a Co-Host.
You will need these permissions to screen share, mute participants, and change chat controls.
1. Posting Timeframe: 8:27 AM / 11:57 AM / 7:27 PM EST
→ Post the Daily Reflection in Chat
Use this link to access the current day’s reflection: AA Daily Reflection
Post both the daily reflection link and reflection paragraphs into the chat.
If the content of the reflection exceeds the chat limit, split it into two separate messages, posting one half right after the other.
Note: Posting the reflection is optional, but it's become a meaningful tradition that offers participants a moment of quiet reading before the meeting begins.
2. Posting Timeframe: 8:28 AM / 11:58 AM / 7:28 PM EST
→ Screen share “Two Min of Quiet” Thumbnail
→ Download and prepare the “2 Minutes of Quiet” image thumbnail in advance. Link: 2 Min Of Quiet Thumbnail
Begin screen-sharing the image at this time and mute all participants if the Host has not already done so.
Keep it displayed for the full two minutes prior to the start of the meeting.
Stop screen share at the start time of the meeting (8:30a/12:00p/7:30p EST)
Note: This quiet period sets a calming tone, offering a chance to center themselves before the opening with all muted.
3A. Posting Timeframe: 8:30 AM / 12:00 PM / 7:30 PM (EST)
→ Post the website info after the Host says “Good morning/afternoon/evening…”

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes.
Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

Ninth Step Promises
If we are painstaking about this phase of our development, we will be amazed before we are halfway through. We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness. We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it. We will comprehend the word serenity and we will know peace.
No matter how far down the scale we have gone, we will see how our experience can benefit others. That feeling of uselessness and self pity will disappear. We will lose interest in selfish things and gain interest in our fellows.
Self-seeking will slip away. Our whole attitude and outlook upon life will change. Fear of people and of economic insecurity will leave us. We will intuitively know how to handle situations which used to baffle us. We will suddenly realize that God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves.
Are these extravagant promises? We think not. They are being fulfilled among us; sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly. They will always materialize if we work for them.
→ RE-OPEN the main chat:
In the chat window, change the chat controls BACK to "Everyone and anyone directly".
If chat controls are not reverted back, Newcomers will not be able to chat with anyone at the start of Newcomer time.
10. Posting Timeframe: 9:30 AM / 1:00 PM / 8:30 PM EST
→ Post the NCL/newcomer time info after the prayer, when the main meeting has concluded...
These first 15 minutes of the after-meeting are devoted to Newcomers, or anyone with less than a year of sobriety.
This is a great time to claim your seat, ask a question, and/or share on the meeting topic. To keep things simple and organized, please allow the Newcomer Liaison (NCL) to answer any questions.
If you’ve been drinking, that’s okay! You are welcome to listen, grab numbers, and come back to share when you have 24 hours of sobriety. Remember, you don’t have to figure this out alone. That’s why this time is set aside for you.
You might be wondering things like:
What is a sponsor and how do I find one?
How do I know which meetings are right for me?
What’s this “literature” everyone talks about? Where do I get it?
What do people actually say when they call someone?
How do I stay sober when I feel like drinking or when I don’t feel anything at all?
Who wants to share first? You don’t have to raise your virtual hand — just come on in!
