In Alcoholics Anonymous, a “Commitment” refers to an opportunity for a group to carry the message of recovery beyond its own meeting. Never Alone Again maintains a calendar of monthly commitment meetings, or commitments—visiting other meetings, hospitals, detox centers, halfway houses, and correctional facilities.
How It Works
Outgoing Commitments — our group visits other online meetings to share about recovery and to bring the AA message.
Incoming Commitments— other AA groups visit our meeting.
NAAG hosts a biannual in-person commitment, known as the Boat Meeting.
