Onboarding of New Members
New Members (e.g. new to Government and/or new to NEPC) should go through a specific onboarding process:
- New Members may reach out directly to Officers or the Secretariat
- The Secretariat monitors staff changes in Government and reaches out to new Members.
- The Secretariat provides the new Member with an Onboarding Package (available via the online portal) that includes:
- By Laws and SOPs, National Policies, NEPC Priorities and Strategic Plan (particularly National Priorities assigned to the Member’s Agency), copies of past Policy Statements and reports, reporting tools
- In-person overview and training may occur to familiarize the new Member with processes and tools.
- The Secretariat will schedule an in-person meeting with the new Member and Officer(s) to introduce the purpose of the NEPC and assign membership to a Working Group or Subcommittee
- The Secretariat may occasionally offer online or paper surveys to both new and old Members to gauge effectiveness and identify problems and/or training needs.
