The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences was first established in downtown Raleigh in 1879 and has since grown into one of the largest natural sciences museums in the country! There are two buildings downtown connected by a bridge: the Nature Exploration Center and the Nature Research Center.
These buildings host school field trips and summer camps in addition to housing state-of-the-art research labs, multiple specimen collections, live animal collections, world-class exhibits, and multiple hands-on spaces such as the Investigate Labs, Naturalist Center and Living Conservatory. These buildings also serve as the main Museum headquarters for Guest Services, Volunteer & Intern Services, Digital Media, Marketing & Communications, Veterinary Services, and Exhibit Design.
Continue to check back soon for more opportunities as they become available!

The Guest Services Unit ensures a consistent, high-level, memorable guest experience, and provides superior customer service as well as safety and enjoyment for the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences guests, members, and community. This unit provides a robust number of services built on a foundation of five key principles: Safety, Hospitality, Engagement, Service, and Inclusion. Guest Services is looking for an intern to start a concierge model to better meet the needs of the Guests at NCMNS. We have long said this would benefit the museum as a whole, however we have not been able to collect the data for this theory.
