Two very separate - but equally unique - NCMNS operations can be found at 1671 Gold Star Drive in Raleigh: Prairie Ridge Ecostation and the off-public Research Lab.
Two very separate - but equally unique - NCMNS operations can be found at 1671 Gold Star Drive in Raleigh: Prairie Ridge Ecostation and the off-public Research Lab.
Prairie Ridge Ecostation is a 44-acre outdoor space featuring a large prairie, forest, pond and creek. Several trails meander throughout the various habitats with educational signage along the way. Visitors can wildlife watch, play in the outdoor Nature PlaySpace or take part in an outdoor nature program.
The Research Lab houses the following collections Herpetology, Ichthyology, Malacology and Non-Molluscan Invertebrates. These fluid stored specimens are not on public display, but offer a variety of opportunities for volunteers, interns and research staff.
