Through an innovative partnership between the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and A Time for Science, the Museum is establishing two new branches in Pitt County: Greenville and Contentnea Creek.

NC Museum of Natural Sciences at Contentnea Creek, located at 949 Contentnea Lane in Grifton (click here for directions), is now open and features 380 acres of Bray Hollow Conservancy lands offering kayaking, 5K's, trail runs, environmental education classes and outdoor recreation for adults, children and families. In additional, the on-site Chia-yu Li Planetarium offers audiences a chance to travel through the planets of the solar system through astronomy education programs.

The NC Museum of Natural Sciences at Greenville, located at 729 Dickinson Avenue in downtown Greenville (click here for directions), will open in 2021 with new, exceptional exhibits, mind-opening programs and educational events that reflect the relevant needs of audiences in northeastern North Carolina. Here, we will offer exhibits, science camps & fairs and e-mentoring programs to ignite kids’ interest to engage in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and arts (STEAM) in educational and fun ways.
