鮮新世から現在にかけての気候変動に興味があり、アイスランド・グリーンランド沖の海底堆積物を用いた古環境復元を行っています。現在は、μCT技術に着目し、浮遊性有孔虫の殻密度から海洋炭酸系の定量的な復元に取り組んでいます。

■ Paleoclimatic and paleoceanographic reconstruction of the North Atlantic Ocean from Pliocene to present
I am interested in climate change from the Pliocene to the present and am working on paleo-reconstructions using seafloor sediments off the coast of Iceland and Greenland. Currently, I am focusing on μCT technology to quantitatively reconstruct oceanic carbonate systems from planktonic foraminifera shell densities.
