Digital Design – How To Do?: Students will help their community by making how-to guides for a subject ares of their choice. These how-to guides could explain how to use Word, Publisher, Fusion 360, Illustrator, Corel Draw, Tinker CAD, Audacity, etc.
IMPORTANT:
•Create a Google Doc (with editing rights) and share it with your teacher. Please format your folio using: File, Page Set Up then A4. All margins: Top, Bottom Left and Right should be set at 1
• Size 12 text (headings and subheadings can be slightly larger)
• Ariel style of text (excluding Works Cited)
• 1.5 spacing (excluding text inside Tables)
• Prepare a front cover which includes your full name, class, teacher's name, Unit title, Key Concept, Related Concept(s), Global Context, Statement of Inquiry and photo(s) related to the Unit
• Prepare an Index and Appendix page for each Crit
• Prepare a cover for each of the 4 stages in the Design Cycle
• Subheadings in each Criterion (A, B, C & D) should be the Strand wording
• Black text
• Include a header and footer
Use MLA 8 Citations and Easybib (Time New Roman) use hanging indents
• Where you read (REQUIRED) in the instructions for each Strand this is the subheading to be used. DO NOT INCLUDE THE WORD (REQUIRED)
• REMEMBER IT'S QUALITY NOT QUANTITY AND AVOID LEAVING EMPTY BLANK SPACES ON A PAGE
Note: When you are completing your written folio I actively encourage you to include (within your text) hyperlinks to relevant areas on the Internet which link into the area you are studying.
Example: I am gong to design and make a security device for a four bedroom house which has sensors attached to all windows and doors. This device will address the problem of house break-ins within the country.
