Client Interview - example
Now it's time to develop your questions and collect the client answers. Your client could be your mother, father, brother, sister, uncle, auntie or friend at school but select one to be your client as you will need access to them throughout the unit. You now write down a list of questions to ask them related to the design of the unit. Try to aim for 10 - 15 questions and their answers.
You must ask and provide evidence for the following questions to investigate the situation chosen for you:

In your answer your MUST identify the PRIMARY and SECONDARY resources to be used when carrying out your own forms of inquiry into the subject area; you will note from the examples most students opt to create a Table with this information. Primary research is research you conduct yourself (or hire someone to do for you.) It involves going directly to a source – usually customers and prospective customers in your target market – to ask questions and gather information. Examples of primary research are: Interviews (telephone or face-to-face)
Secondary research involves the summary, collation and/or synthesis of existing research. Secondary research is contrasted with primary research in that primary research involves the generation of data, whereas secondary research uses primary research sources as a source of data for analysis.

A list of specific problems that you could address when you are completing the design of the How To Do? unit and the creation of the product; what problems could arise which you will be required to find a solution for?

Evaluate each. Copy and paste the list of bullet point words above in the first Brainstorm of potential problems to be Solved and then write a description against each; how will you address each of the areas identified as you work through the Unit and why are they important to your project?
Note: You MUST create a Mind Map and add in additional areas to the first bullet point list to investigate.

There may be a wide range of products that solve similar problems to the one assigned.
Students analyse each existing product and give information related its strengths, weaknesses, function and aesthetics.
