This artifact is showing how I can give engaging instruction through a Leadership Lesson. In this lesson I was able to teach students the importance of leadership while doing an activity. The problem - solving activity consisted of students grouping up in pairs of two. Each group needed a writing utensil (crayon) and a paper. One student was given the a word and was to tell the other student who had their eyes closed what to draw and where. I was able to connect this lesson to being "everyone can be a leader". The students really enjoyed this lesson and I thought it met every different type of learner because there was a lecture and a hands on activity.
My Animal Science Unit Plan for Boone Central is a great representation of engaging instruction. In this unit plan it shows some different lessons being taught, for example at the end of a unit the students are going to complete a project about what they just learned in the previous topic. In this unit plan I am going to have students complete real world scenarios for them to apply their knowledge that they just learned into something they can use in the future. My lessons in the unit plan are going to be diverse and focused on more than one learning style in my hope to meet the needs of all different types of learners.
