This WBL Legal and Safety Plan developed in ALEC 234 represents Standard 11 of Work Based learning very well. This plan is centered around the students and keeping them safe. It lays out how as a teacher I am wanting to implement WBL in a safe and in a well supervised manner. Giving the students the opportunities to connect with community and industry professionals while getting an experience to learn while working. This plan also provides guidance and support to the students that want to experience work based learning.
In ALEC 234 we were able to develop a SAE Teaching and Grading Plan on how we will incorporate SAE and work based learning into our classroom. While making this plan, our goal was to have a plan on how to keep each and everyone of our students actively involved if they have an SAE or not. We created a choice board that students can select different opportunities that would grant the students success in learning. In the plan we offered students experiences in all SAE areas which include Career Exploration and Planning, Employability Skills for College and Career Readiness, Personal Financial Management and Planning, Workplace Safety, Agricultural Literacy. Keeping safety in mind we want all students to be safe while using this plan.
