My assessment from ALEC 206 aligns with standard 3 of student assessment. In this class I was able teach a fact throughout, at the end of the semester I was able to assess my students (classmates). I created a google form that students were able to fill out. This assessment was not only for me but was also the students to see what they have learned. This meets the standard by connecting to validity and reliability because it measures the students knowledge and skills that were learned about a certain topic. This may also be incorporated into authentic assessment because this was not developed as a test it was just an assessment of knowledge but in a fun different way. As a teacher i am hoping to steer away from the common tests and quizzes and test student knowledge by different activities.
Using this assessment report meets with standards 3 - student assessment. The way it does meet the standard is by using the data-driven decision making side of it and using the data received from the assessment to find areas of the lessons that need improved and modified. This is a big thing that I am hoping to use assessments for in the future by looking at how the students assessed and if it was poorly then as a teacher I need to change the lesson or content somehow. I am also wanting to align the assessments to what was taught from the learning objectives.
