Wonder

Our journey began with a study in empathy and understanding. Using a read aloud, the students listened to the story of Auggie, a 5th grade boy with a rare genetic condition. Using Wonder the students analyzed characters and character traits, identified figurative language, and even discovered the role foreshadowing plays in a novel. To wrap up our 1st book study we went to see the movie within a week of being released.
