Winter Wonderland

We journeyed into a Winter Wonderland to study Procedural Texts. In our classroom snow globe the students learned how to read and understand procedural texts by making Gingerbread Houses with homemade frosting. They learned about author's purpose and informational texts with Snowflake Bentley. After learning about the real like Snowflake Bentley students wrote stories about the life cycle of a snowflake.
