This week.....

We are having fun singing patriotic songs of God Bless America and America the Beautiful. Some students have been so inspired by the "America the Beautiful" book that they have purchaed their own copy. One student even found one with the authors signature!!! Amazing!!!

Students are continuing to practice our Solfege hand signs.

Students are learning to walk out Rhythm value beats.

Students are learning how to follow directions to movement.

Thanksgiving is coming soon, so we are learning a (modified version) of a traditional dance called "The Virginia Reel". Students are learning calls for movement together and calls as a pair set. One dance move we have learned is a "sashe'" or a side to side step, (a step and feet together movement).

We hope to teach this dance for an "all participatory" dance at our Thanksgiving Feast in a few weeks.
