In Luke 18:9-14, Jesus shares a parable about two men who went to the temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, who was proud and boasted about his good deeds, while the other was a tax collector, who humbly acknowledged his sins and asked for God's mercy. Jesus teaches that it is the humble tax collector, not the self-righteous Pharisee, who goes home justified before God. This story emphasizes the importance of humility and recognizing our need for God's grace.

Why do you think the tax collector felt  sorry for his mistakes?  What does it mean to be "humble"?  How can being humble help us in our relationship with God? What do you think Jesus wants us to learn from this story?

Lucas 18:9-14 cuenta una historia sobre dos hombres que fueron al templo a orar. Uno era un fariseo, que era orgulloso y pensaba que era mejor que los demás. Agradeció a Dios por no ser como otras personas. El otro hombre era un recaudador de impuestos, que se sentía muy arrepentido por sus errores. Le pidió a Dios misericordia. Jesús enseñó que el recaudador de impuestos regresó a casa bien con Dios porque era humilde y honesto acerca de sí mismo, mientras que el fariseo no lo era.
