Luke 17:11-19
God has the power of healing, spiritual as well as physical. He will take us in the sickness of our sin and make us whole again. So often we only turn to God in deep need: as soon as we are healed we ignore him. Yet thanks and praise should be our response, acknowledging God's power and directing all glory on him .This story teaches us several important lessons:
We should be grateful for the good things in our lives
It's important to express our thankfulness
Sometimes the people we least expect can teach us the most about gratitude
Think about it: How do you think Jesus felt when one of the ten people who were healed came back to thank him? What happened to the other nine? How often do we remember to say "thank you" when good things happen to us? Do we take time to show appreciation to others who help us? What are three things you're thankful for today? How can we show gratitude to others in our daily lives?
Remember: Gratitude isn't just about saying the words "thank you" - it's about truly feeling and showing appreciation for the good things and kind people in our lives.
