Rubric!

This rubric is for teaching and review students' use of their vocabulary within their reading class. By the end of this assignment, student should be able to correctly identify and spell each of their vocabulary words, using the correct definition, listing three correct characteristics, listing three solid examples along with three solid nonexamples, and using the word in a grammatically correct, complex sentence. This assignment is made for 3rd grade and potentially 4th grade students, by judgement of the teacher. This assignment will be useful in helping students review and memorize their vocabulary words along with all the characteristics that apply to each specific word. If students are able to excel in this assignment, they should be able to correctly identify these words while reading excerpts, books, etc., that are utilized in the classroom without having to stop and further explain them.
