Hey! My name is Hannah Blue! I am a sophomore majoring in elementary education, and I hope to continue on after I graduate and get my master's degree in special education. My passion has always been to help others and to see other thrive through learning! From a young age until now, I have been dedicated to teaching others whether it be helping my mother with her students in her special education, self-contained classroom, teaching a friend about a current assignment, or just simply coaching a children's sports team. I pray that one day, I can be a teacher like my mom, and I can impact my students' lives. I hope that I am the teacher that they remember forever as enabling, encouraging, and enthusiastic!
I am originally from Pine Bluff, AR, which is about two hours from Russellville. I have moved around school in the area quite a bit, as I followed my mom when she would move schools. From the start of kindergarten to the end of sixth grade, I went to a college preparatory school, Ridgeway Christian School, that set a solid foundation for my education. I then went on to the Pine Bluff school district and remained there for two years until transferring to the White Hall school district and graduating from there. I am very dedicated to my schoolwork and the betterment of myself and thrive off of seeing others better themselves. While in school, I held many officer positions in numerous clubs including Beta Club, National Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Spanish Club, etc. while still being active in sports and keeping top 10% of my class and graduating 11th in my class.
My family and my church are my biggest support systems. My mom and dad, Janelle and Andrew Blue, have been my biggest fans growing up and have never let me struggle in life. Alongside them, my sister, Emily, has pushed me to be the best version of myself in school and to succeed in everything I do. I also have three dogs at home, Annie, Tuve, and Maverick. I just bought a dog of my own, Missy, who very much keeps me on my toes! My hometown church and my current church have been such a strong foundation, encouraging me to stay close to God and to rely on Him when things get tough. This has been a great help and will continue to be a great help in the future when dealing with and influencing my students.
I am so excited to start this journey of teaching and to learn more as I get older!
