Description-
This artifact is the cargo net used for our rescue training. It contains all of the equipment needed to perform a rescue climb. It was created in April 2022 and was produced just in as a backup plan if some of our student climbers got stuck.
Connection-
The importance of this artifact is so that I have the knowledge and skills to assist a student get down safely from the cargo net. It shows evidence of understanding of the standard because I allows my students to have someone to turn to in a time of need and learning. This extra training that was completed aligns with performance indicator 9O which states, "the competent teacher participates in professional development, professional organizations, and learning communities, and engages in peer coaching and mentoring activities to enhance personal growth and development".
Learned-
This artifact has taught me how so safely direct students or myself in assisting a student to get down from the net. This is crucial for my development because situations like these could arise at anytime. I will continue to take these extra training programs to make sure I am equipped to handle all situations.
Description- This artifact is an email with information from an IEP meeting. It contains student behavior, class participation, areas of strength/weakness, and areas of growth. It was created in March of 2022 during my student teaching semester.
Connection-
The importance of this artifact is to provide information for my students to assist with their educational growth. It shows evidence of the standard by having my co-workers and parents trust in me to provide the proper information. It is making me an overall better teacher. Indicator 9N states that, "the competent teacher collaborates with other teachers, students, parents or guardians, specialists, administrators, and community partners to enhance students’ learning and school improvement". The information in these meeting is to enhance student learning.
Learned-
I have learned how to assist my students better by working with other team members to create an educational plan. This skill will apply to all of my students in my future classes. I have gain essential collaboration skills so that I can ensure a quality education for all of my students.
