Provider: Elisa Huerta, MA/CAGS, NCSP, Licensed School Psychologist
Overview of Provided Supports:
Intentional/planned supports: Ms. Huerta will develop individual clinical goals for the student during her/his time in the transition program, and take responsibility for proactive work with the student toward achieving these goals. This may include individual or group sessions.
On-demand supports: Ms. Huerta will be available to provide, in conjunction with academic coordinator, emotional supports to students upon request (and/or upon identifying a student’s need for immediate support in an interaction); the program counselor will work to align this support with the student’s overall clinical goal(s).
Crisis intervention:
Note: While the Bridges Program will not have a single clinical model or framework (in light of the many different backgrounds and experiences of the students in the program), there is an expectation of articulated clinical goals for each student, with a focus on the development of skills needed for school success.
