Local Practice & Community Engagement: A Community-Based Project on Local Practice and Community Engagement at Minghsin University of Science and Technology
本計畫以學校鄰近社區為場域,協同企業、第三部門等資源,共同規劃以社區為基礎之區域認同發展方案,由本校共同教育學院主導,連結人文與設計學院、服務產業學院及工學院,結合系所專業課程,由教師運用自身專業,帶領學生跨出校園,走入學校鄰近社區,與社區場域夥伴發展以社區為基礎之區域認同發展計畫,透過「共生」、「共享」到「共榮」三面向在地關懷行動,逐步型塑社區認同、社區改造及社區行銷之永續性的社會實踐目標,以善盡大學社會責任。
Through a variety of models of cross-disciplinary course, this project is designed to link the diverse professional fields of the humanities and society, service industries, engineering, general education, etc.. in the University. Considered from the perspectives of symbiosis, sharing, and mutual prosperity, teachers, students, and community partners are all working together to generate a local care initiative which meets the needs of the community. Eventually, it is hoped that the program will gradually shape the sustainable social goals of the community identity, community transformation and community marketing.
一三延續、小農永續在地實踐計畫
Sustainable Creative Farmer Projects
本計畫主要希望發掘台灣底層農民跟國家政策間的缺口,包括農業科技的新興應用、有效的農藥自主管理,甚至導入農民知識的產業升級,方能讓農民投入有個產業出口。在農藥檢測驗證方面擬推動農藥自主檢測站,提供簡單即時且便宜的自我農產品安全掌握。就小農物聯網而言, 在本案中將藉由與小農對談,找出適合小農跟產銷班的物聯網解決方案。在農業升級方面,則提出產業六級化之解決方案,藉由農食教育之建置,解決農產品代價過低問題
The project is going to discover the loop between local farmers and national policies, including agricultural technology application, chemical efficiency management and increasing farmers’ knowledge. Let farmers develop agriculture. At chemical inspection, the project would establish a chemical self-inspection station, to provide farmers on time and save the cost solution. In the case of smallholder, we will have a talk with them, then look for solutions, production and marketing classes on the internet for them. In terms of agricultural upgrading, a solution to the six-level industrialization was proposed, through the establishment of agricultural and food education, to solve the problem of low cost of agricultural products.

The USR Program for Building a Value-Added Service for the Dynamic Industries Along Provincial Highway No. 1
以「在地連結」與「人才培育」為核心,整合相關知識、技術與資源,聚焦於區域、在地傳統產業發展所需,強化在地連結,促進創新知識的運用與擴散,以帶動地方成長動能;同時也將積極連結區域資源,協助產業升級與轉型、促進在地培育廠商需求人才、提供專家診斷輔導、辦理專業培訓課程、關懷偏鄉協助就業、挹注資源扶助弱群等,協助產業鏈結與經濟永續之發展。
This program focuses on the development needs for the regional and local traditional industries in order to strengthen the local connectivity, and promote the use and diffusion of innovative knowledge, as well as to encourage the local growth momentum through integrating relevant knowledge, technologies and resources with the core of “in-place connectivity” and “talent cultivation”. In addition, this program intends to actively link regional resources, assist in industrial upgrading and transformation, promote the cultivation of manufacturers in the local demand for talent, provide expert diagnostic guidance, handle professional training courses, care for the rural areas to assist in employment, pay attention to resources to help the weak groups and so on. For the purpose of assisting the industrial chain and the sustainable development of the economy.

Wufeng Township Saysiyat Cultural Industry Creative Base Plan
由「原住民族學生資源中心」,鏈結在地民間組織,進行在地人文、生態環境、體驗與探訪活動。以新竹縣五峰鄉賽夏族部落為實踐基地,共同協助賽夏族在地文化資源保存及生活環境空間美化,另透過學生學習、體驗、服務及原鄉產業探訪活動,進一步了解學生未來投入社會服務的必要條件與能力,進而提升學生對民族文化認同,本計畫成果提供學生實踐社會服務的模組,並期待未來繼續攜手原鄉永續發展合作的機會。
We, the " Indigenous Students Resource Center '' of MUST has linked the local non-governmental organizations so as to experience the local culture, and explore the local ecological environment. We chose the Saysiyat tribe in Wufeng Township, Hsinchu County, as our practice base. We assisted the local Saysiyat organizations to preserve their cultural resources and help them to embellish their living environment. In addition, our students had learned and experienced a lot by visiting and providing services to the indigenous hometown and their industry. So as to enable the students to further understand how to enhance their ability and enable them to easily get access back to their own indigenous society in the future.

Elderly Health Promotion & Preschool Education Value Added: Projects Bring Children, Undergrads and Seniors Together to Create a Quality Life
本計畫對應SDGs之「良好健康與福祉」、「優質教育」及「永續城市及社區」等三項目標,由大學教師帶領學生,以服務幼兒及銀髮族為主,共同營造新竹在地永續社區。展出作品包含幼保系的代間教育教具,例如偶劇箱、新竹在地文化特色教具等,以課程實踐大學社會責任,充分展現關懷地方、服務及回饋社區。
This project corresponds to the SDGs’ three goals of "Good Health and Well-being", "Quality Education" and "Sustainable City and Community". University teachers will lead students to serve children and the elderly, and jointly build Hsinchu's local Sustainable community. Exhibits include intergenerational learning teaching aids from the Department of Early Childhood Education and Care, such as puppet box, Hsinchu cultural teaching aids, etc., to practice the university's social responsibility and fully demonstrate caring for the place.

Information Care for Local Humanities
明新資訊志工團隊由校內師生所組成,「學習服務、服務學習」是團隊宗旨。本校資訊志工團隊從 95成立至今,目前已經累計服務過十所新竹縣偏遠小學,以及新竹縣橫山、寶山、新埔、峨嵋與北德拉曼五個數位機會中心。
The Minghsin Information Volunteer Team is composed of the teachers and the students in our school. "Learning service, service learning" is the team's purpose. Since its establishment in 1995, the information volunteer team has served ten remote primary schools in Hsinchu County, as well as five Digital Opportunity Centers (DOC) in Hengshan, Baoshan, Xinpu, Emei and North Delaman in Hsinchu County.
