One of our virtual programs includes a video of encouragement for the resident that will be sent to Magnolia Glen on Tuesday April, 28th. With the help of supervisors, Sherron and Sonya, our video will be shared to Magnolia Glen's TV station. The target market for the video is the residents of Magnolia Glen. They will be able to watch the video in the comforts of their room and on their own time. Our video product video will be comprised of short 20-30 second clips of students in PRT 358, PRT 152 and students in our SL group. Each clip submitted by the students will contain a short introduction and a message of encouragement for the residents while doing some form of leisure activity (cooking, playing an instrument, dancing, walking a dog, drawing, painting, shooting basketball, exercising, skateboarding, etc.) We know that the outbreak of COVID-19 has taken a huge toll on the residents' emotional and mental health because they are being forced into isolation and drastically change their everyday routines. Our greatest hopes are to encourage and support them and let them know we are thinking of them during this trying time. We are aiming to make this a personal experience for the residents, and spark internal inspiration and motivation.
Materials/Equipment
Every resident has access to a TV in their living quarters. The video will be broadcasted on Magnolia Glen's TV station, and played on a loop, so the resident can tune in on their own time.
Internet access
Facilities
To engage and participate in the virtual program, residents will need to be in their living quarters. The residents will most likely be watching the video by themselves or with their roommates in their living room or bedroom. The resident will have the opportunity to share their thoughts with other residents as they mingle throughout the facility (wearing protective face masks and at a distance of course).
Safety Considerations
There are no safety hazards for the residents while they are watching the video.

Materials/Equipment
The materials needed for this activity is just a piece of paper, an envelope, a pencil, and a stamp.
Facilities
There are no facilities needed since the participants will be writing the letters in their home.
Safety Considerations
The letters were hand delivered to Magnolia Glen and dropped off at the main entrance doors. Even though social distancing practices were implemented, there is still the risk of bring the virus to Magnolia Glen. The letters come from children and their families that have more contact to the outside world, leaving a greater risk for spreading the virus.
We will be sure to use disinfectants, gloves and face mask during the delivery process.

For the video of encouragement program, we created a flyer to build anticipation. We focused our marketing efforts on creating an aesthetically pleasing and simple flyer to catch the eye of residents. With old age, it becomes difficult to see images using contrasting and bright colors, so this was in the back of our mind during the creative process. The flyer was sent to Sherron and Sonya, via email, to print and distribute to the residents. The flyer was also hung on announcement bulletin boards all across the facility. Residents were informed about the program two weeks in advance so they had plenty of time to prepare. As for approval to release this virtual program to the residents, all we had to do was get the okay from Sherron and Sonya. We just had to be mindful that the video did not contain any copyrighted music.
