We are offering a variety of different experiences with our program. We will be offering a facility wide egg hunt, live bunnies, a photo booth, and snacks! This program is a great way for families to interact and bond with each other and also meet other people. We planned to hold the event at Magnolia Glen and utilize the front yard, back yard, and indoor craft room. We selected these locations to keep it as easy to locate as possible and easy to find places. Lastly, we planned these activities to reach not only the residents, but their families with hopes of being inclusive and engaging towards everyone.
We placed flyers around Magnolia Glen on announcement and event boards to engage and excite residents about the program. We also kept everything related to the program in the theme of the program to keep it continuous.
We created posters and flyers with information regarding where the event would be held at at what time. We also have group members and volunteers floating and assisting with directing residents and families towards different activities.
Group members and volunteers were in charge of making sure all activites ran smoothly and that all participants were engaged and having fun. Three members/volunteers were stationed with the bunnies to handle the bunnies, take photos, and keep the line running smoothly. Two members/volunteers were stations at each egg hunt to ensure everyone was safe and enjoying themselves. One member/volunteer was put at the food table to interact with residents and families and replenish food and drinks. Residents were able to float between playing with bunnies and getting treats. Children participated in an egg hunt and searched for the "golden egg" which they could redeem for a prize!
As the event came to a close, all group members and volunteers gathered in the front lobby of Magnolia Glen to thank and say goodbye to the residents' families. Each resident and family member was able to take home goodies, prizes and photos as souvenirs to remember their experience at the Magnolia Glen Annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Residents and their families were able to take home personal keepsakes from the Easter Egg Hunt, such as photos and various prizes. These keepsakes serve as a memento so residents and their families can look back and reflect on the fun filled day they had.
