This semester our Service Learning Group will be planning and executing two different programs and Magnolia Glen - a Kisco Senior Living Facility. We will be planning our programs for the seniors living in both assisted living and independent living. Magnolia Glen is located off of Creedmoor Road on 12 wooded acres. The facility backs up to Brookhaven Nature Park and provides wellness opportunities within the park. We will kick off the semester with Magnolia Glenns annual Easter Egg Hunt. This event is targeted towards all ages including seniors and their families and will involve a facility wide Easter Egg Hunt. Our second program will be a Taste, Travel, Explore three day event. This event will take place on three consecutive Wednesdays. It will include foods from the Mid Atlantic region of the United States, trivia, music, and crafts!

Our group was partnered with Magnolia Glen through our PRT Recreation and Planning class at NC State. While being partnered with Magnolia Glen, we hope to provide engaging and fun activities to the seniors all while gaining experience in planning programs. We hope to each gain confidence in planning and executing programs and create lasting memories for the members of the community.
